AeroPrompt · Privacy Policy

Your prompts stay with you.

The short version

1. Who we are

AeroPrompt is developed and published by Cheppulabs, a personal software lab operated by Anish Monci Varghese. You can reach us at hello@cheppulabs.com.

2. Data we collect

AeroPrompt does not collect any personal data. The extension has no servers, no backend, and no network calls of its own.

All data you create in the extension — your prompts, nicknames, groups, tags, favorites, usage counts, and settings — is stored locally in the browser's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your device.

3. Host permissions and execution

AeroPrompt requests host permissions for the AI chat tools it injects into: chatgpt.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com, perplexity.ai, grok.com, chat.mistral.ai, and chat.deepseek.com. These permissions are used exclusively to write your compiled prompt into the chat box of the tab you explicitly target.

AeroPrompt does not track which sites you visit, how often you use these tools, or what prompts you send. No browsing history is ever read or stored.

4. Authentication & App Lock

If you enable App Lock, AeroPrompt uses your browser's native WebAuthn API to interface directly with your operating system's secure enclave (Apple TouchID / FaceID, Windows Hello, etc.). We never receive, capture, or store your fingerprint, facial map, or system password — that challenge is handled entirely by your OS. A PIN fallback, if you set one, is stored locally on your device only.

5. Analytics and tracking

AeroPrompt contains no third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.), no crash reporting, no advertising networks, and no tracking of any kind. We genuinely do not know how you use the extension, how often you open it, or which features you use.

6. Data deletion & export

Because your data is stored locally, you have complete control over it. You can delete individual prompts or groups at any time from the side panel, export your entire vault to a .json file, or uninstall the extension entirely — which wipes all associated local storage from your browser instantly.

7. Children's privacy

AeroPrompt is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children. Because the extension collects no data from anyone, there is no specific data processing concern for children.

8. Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce a feature that requires off-device processing (such as an optional cloud sync), this privacy policy will be updated and your explicit permission will be requested before any such feature is activated. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
